Curriculum and Programs

At Kidtopia, we believe in child-centered learning and hands-on fun at all ages. Every classroom is thoughtfully designed with developmentally appropriate schedules, toys and activities planned by our highly-qualified teachers. Through the Brightwheel App, caregivers receive daily reports and developmental tracking to keep you in the loop on your little ones care.

Kidtopia has partnered with The Childcare Education Institute to provide their Pinnacle® Curriculum.
Pinnacle® is a research-based early childhood curriculum, designed with both teachers and students in mind. Based on the works of Piaget, Gardner, and Erikson, Pinnacle® provides early childhood educators with lessons that engage children in developmentally appropriate activities.

6 weeks to 18 months old

With caregiver guidance, we implement feeding, changing and naptime schedules with simple rituals that mirror what you do at home.

Stories, songs and play time are part of a typical day and we plan activities to support infant development at each stage.

From tummy time to sitting up, crawling and walking, babies are encouraged to develop motor skills, engage with others, and explore!

Toddlers

18 to 36 months old

This program is all about transition and development. We get introduced to all kinds of exciting, new things like letters, numbers, and colors.

Our days are full and include fun, active and quiet play periods. Daily activities include learning songs, dancing to music, enjoying outside play, working on puzzles and reading picture books.

Toddlers begin to hone fine and gross motor skills with various activities that jumpstart their cognitive, emotional, physical and social skills.

Preschool

3 to 4 years old

Kidtopia’s preschoolers are immersed in the curriculum, interactive learning centers and circle time. There’s dress-up, role playing, story time, musical instruments, puzzles, blocks and much more.

Children in these classrooms continue to explore the use of their fine and gross motor skills. The program incorporates language and literacy development, math, social studies, science, art and music.

Pre-Kindergarten

4 to 5 years old

This program focuses on foundational math and literacy, social and self-regulation skills to prepare our little learners for school. Our pre-K kiddos engage in science projects, art activities, music and the study of other cultures.

Their days are busy and centered around Kindergarten readiness. Kindergarten teachers recognize a Kidtopia student because of their level of enthusiasm for learning!

School Age

6 to 12 years old

Structured care is provided before and after school, as well as full day services for school holidays & vacation days. Access to iPads, homework assistance, outdoor play and arts & craft activities, and several other choices are offered daily. Busing is provided by the local school districts, including late buses for after school activities.

Each summer, Kidtopia offers an exciting summer camp experience for the months of July and August for all children. Weekly field trips to area attractions like RMSC, Strong Museum, Wayne Historical Society, and Wickham Farms are all part of our great summer experience.
